The Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards

There are 17 categories of awards which cover the whole tourism and hospitality industry, including Entertainment Venue of the Year, Best Newcomer and Tourism Experience of the Year.

Regarding the awards, Peter Sandman, Head of Visitor Economy for the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, has said: ?To see so many entries come in not only shows?the amount of healthy competition we have across the city region ? which only continues to push tourism standards up.?

He also continues to explain that the latest figures show that the local visitor economy is now ?worth over ?4.5bn annually and supports over 53,500 jobs.?

The likes of ACC Liverpool, Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Merseyrail, NatWest and TicketQuarter are all sponsoring the awards this year.

Alma de Cuba

Alma de Cuba

We are up there as one of Liverpool?s most unique restaurants?and bars. More than just a night out, our spectacular venue in the heart of the city contains an independent spirit that leaves a lasting impression on regulars and tourists alike. Set inside the magnificent conversion of the former St. Peters Catholic Church, the building is itself an iconic destination as it is the first church in Liverpool to be turned into a social venue! We have combined an eclectic mix of Cuban and Latin American influences that we have then enhanced with Liverpool?s great spirit and style.

The Vestry

The latest addition to Alma de Cuba?s interior is The Vestry; a completely new floor on which guests can choose to create a wide selection of varying party spaces, giving their special event, evening or even their wedding a VIP edge.

The Vestry

For smaller parties and evenings out enjoying Liverpool nightlife, we have booths and private spaces which are bookable for parties of up to 30 people. Alma has front and bar booths, spaces at the altar and the famously exclusive Lady Chapel. For larger groups, the first-floor mezzanine and restaurant space have views over the lower level and bar. This is perfect for soaking up some of the atmospheres below whilst experiencing your meal in privacy.

If you?re thinking about celebrating a special occasion and want to experience the full VIP treatment on your night out in Liverpool, just call 0151 305 3744 to arrange your night in Alma de Cuba ? nominated for Best Bar in The Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards!
