Alma de Cuba Liverpool
A local favourite in the heart of Liverpool city centre, Alma de Cuba is a long-standing local favourite, offering a completely unique dining experience. The eccentric bar and restaurant has historic roots, dating back to 1788.
Once St Peter’s Catholic Church, the church served as a place of worship until 1976. The church went on to become the church of Liverpool’s Polish community. The building was renamed?Our Lady of Czestochowa and nicknamed ‘The Polish Church’ by locals.
After laying derelict for a number of years, Alma de Cuba opened its doors to the public once again in 2005 as spectacular bar and restaurant. The church had been sympathetically restored by a talented team of architects, ensuring that the building’s most striking original features were preserved.
Today, Alma de Cuba is one of Liverpool’s most unique bars and restaurants, based on a colourful blend of Cuban, Hispanic and Latin American influences. Diners can enjoy the carnival-style atmosphere by day and night.
